By re-engineering fundamental components Samsung has substantially minimized thickness while not sacrificing battery life, performance or features. To be released later this year, the S25 Edge promises to be among the thinnest high performance smartphones available.

Opera launched Browser Operator which is an artificial intelligence powered web browsing assistant capable of automating online activities for users. As opposed to normal browsers, the AI agent can search and buy products, do research or fill out online forms for users, while updating them on what it is doing. As opposed to cloud reliant AI models, Browser Operator is incorporated directly into Opera’s browser for faster and safer operations.

Tecno’s Slimmest Smartphone
Tecno Mobile also featured its Spark Slim concept phone which is a mere 5.75mm thick, thinner than Samsung’s thinnest Galaxy Edge devices. The phone is constructed from recycled aluminum and stainless steel, focusing on sustainability without compromising on a smooth, reflective finish. While it is yet to enter the production phase, this extremely thin smartphone is a direction towards future minimalist phones.

Deutsche Telekom and Perplexity AI Collaboration
Deutsche Telekom, the parent of T-Mobile, revealed that it is developing an AI based smartphone in collaboration with Perplexity AI. Unlike conventional smartphones, this phone will function without typical apps, instead using AI powered tools for daily tasks.

Users will be able to reserve flights, book reservations, and conduct other advanced activities using voice commands. The smartphone which is expected to hit the market in the second half of 2025, will feature AI technologies from Google Cloud AI, ElevenLabs and Picsart.
Oppo’s AI-Powered Future
Oppo reveals its AI driven strategy, highlighting its collaboration with Google to integrate Gemini AI into its ecosystem. This means Oppo users will soon be able to leverage Gemini’s capabilities in native apps like Notes, Calendar, and Clock.

Additionally, the company introduced its Private Computing Cloud (PCC), powered by Google Cloud’s Confidential Computing, to enhance data security while enabling features like AI Call Summary, AI Studio, and AI Search. Nothing launched its latest smartphones, the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro as upgraded models of the last generation. The Phone (3a) begins at Rs 24,999 with an India specific model having 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and the Pro version starts at Rs 29,999 with a higher 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Along with the launch offer, customers can purchase both phones at a flat Rs 2,000 discount. The phones go on sale from March 11.
